This is the last weekend before KRCC switches to its new schedule on Monday. The station is switching to only having music from 7 PM-midnight, with news/NPR programming the rest of the day. When the station last changed its schedule, I got plenty of both good and bad calls about the changes. The latest change will eliminate some of the less-liked shows. "A Prairie Home Companion" will return on weekends, having been dropped after Garrison Keillor retired. Still, the elimination of the late-morning/early-afternoon music shows has already garnered lots of complaints. As much as I hate the reduced music content, I know KRCC has to do what it can to compete with the new Colorado Public Radio affiliate starting up in April.

I'll be doing some more furry bowling on Saturday night. My fursuit's maker is hosting the meet, so I'll ask if she can make adjustments to the suit body next week.

I forgot to pick up my medication refills today. I'll need to do that on Monday.

I had a follow-up appointment with my physician today. I've been on the increased dose of generic Prozac for a few weeks now, and it's helped me be less anxious. After the appointment, I picked up a jug of purified water for my APAP machine. I'm glad I don't have any other appointments or errands until Friday since it snowed last night and this morning. The roads were mostly snow-free, but the high temperature won't get back above freezing until Friday. There's only a 10% chance of snow showers in Denver on Saturday night, when FoxTrot will take place. It'll be clear again on Sunday for the KRCC Christmas party.

So far, my Christmas list has three items: a floor lamp, a Tupperware bowl set and a pair of Heat Holders socks. I wanted to add a shredder, but most of the shredder models I saw were at least $100; the ones specifically labeled as cardboard shredders were over $2,000.

I picked up my generic Prozac refill today. I was supposed to get thirty 60mg pills. The pharmacist explained I was given ninety 20mg pills because that would only cost me $11 instead of $82 for the 60mg pills.

I'm glad I got my medication and got more groceries today. Tomorrow's forecast shows a 30-40% chance of rain and snow, then it'll be sunny again for the next few days.

I saw my physician for a follow-up appointment on Monday. My pharmacy never called me to say my Prozac refill was ready, so I hadn't picked it up. The refill will be ready after 4 PM Tuesday. I'll see the physician again next month.

UPDATE (3:55 PM): The pharmacy just called to say my refill wasn't shipped today. It will arrive tomorrow at either 11 AM or 4 PM, so I'll stop by at 4 PM Wednesday.

I had much more success with the APAP machine Saturday. I took a Xanax after work to make me less anxious about the mask. I was actually able to get a good night's sleep, and so far I don't hear any snoring on the recording I made. On previous weekends, I felt myself dozing off in the middle of some work shifts. Today I only felt a little sleepy about 15 minutes before the shift's end.

PAY for Friday, September 23rd: 5 hours (3-8 PM)
Saturday, September 24th: 9 hours (6 AM-3 PM)
Sunday, September 25th 10 hours (5 AM-2 PM and 7-8 PM)

UPDATE (Monday 3:30 AM): I picked up a few groceries before my Sunday night fill-in shift. After the shift, I had to refill my car's gas tank since it was almost empty. The Safeway's gas station had regular for $1.99/gallon, which was reduced to $1.79 with the discounts I had earned. I began to feel sleepy again during The Rabbit Hole, so I laid down in bed and put on the APAP machine for a bit. I took a Xanax and will likely go back to bed within an hour. Doggy Radio is about to do "The Quickening," so the show is close to ending for tonight.

I set a goal to work on my next Toastmasters speech for at least an hour on Mondays-Thursdays. I plan to give the speech on either September 30 or October 7. I finished the intro and first paragraph tonight. I initially planned to quit Toastmasters in October due to money problems and not always feeling awake on Friday mornings; I hope the latter can be helped after seeing my sleep doctor next week and (likely) getting a CPAP or other device.

"Yeah, you don't wanna give him too much of the wet dog food because [wet fart.]"

I accidentally got the wrong medication refilled over the weekend. I meant to have my generic Prozac refilled, but I got the generic names for Prozac and Xanax mixed up. Both of them are equally effective, though.

A few weeks ago, the "House Party" show on K-Howl FM talked about the new Crown Royal Vanilla. The host said it was "meh" with Coca-Cola, but excellent with root beer or Dr Pepper. I couldn't find it in the stores I visited; a clerk at the last store said it would arrive the following day. I finally got a bottle and am liking it.

During my last doctor's appointment, the doctor decided to delay renewing my Alprazolam prescription until the results of my sleep study came in. I don't know if that's why I've been feeling sadder lately. The sleep clinic called me today and set up an appointment for later this month. Tomorrow morning, I need to take a blood test. I've been taking Vitamin D tablets daily since I usually wind up with low levels. I'm slightly heavier than my last weigh-in. I slacked off on watching my diet after RMFC and got up to 318; I weigh 313 now.

I will drop off my car for repairs next Tuesday.

Since I still have a stuffy nose and dry throat left over from my cold, I bought some DayQuil and cough drops over the weekend. Those are really helping to reduce the symptoms. I called in sick for last Friday's Toastmasters meeting because the symptoms kept me from getting enough sleep.

I spent a brief moment throwing out the old mail and random junk from part of my kitchen counter. I ordered a refill of my Alprazolam earlier this week, but I forgot to pick it up. I made a note to pick it up on Monday. I ran out of pills this week and need to refill it before my cruise vacation next Friday.

My dad said my water bill went way up over the past month. There were times when my toilet kept flowing, but jiggling the handle fixed it. I double-checked everything tonight, including the spigot on my back porch, but they all appear to be fine and there's no water in the crawl space. I'll see if a plumber can find anything wrong before my vacation.

I found substitutes for both my Saturday and Sunday shifts at KRCC for the weekends I'll be in Grenada. I found some of the e-mails sent by the singles cruise group; they were being sent to my old AOL address.

I need to pick up some AAA batteries today. My bathroom scale appears to be working properly, I've been behaving on my diet and I've been more active this week. However, I'm having trouble believing I went from 302 lbs on Monday to 294 lbs. today. I'll re-weigh myself tonight after getting new scale batteries to see if I get a more-accurate reading. I haven't replaced the batteries since I got the scale last year. I had run out of my anxiety medication a few days ago and will pick up the refill today before work. I wonder if going without my medication affected my weight as well.

UPDATE (12:00 PM): I recalibrated the scale and currently weigh 308. Also, I keep forgetting my pharmacy isn't open on weekends. I'll have to pick up my refill on Monday.

I filled my antibiotic prescriptions at Safeway today. The woman at the pharmacy counter recognized me since I used to get all of my prescriptions refilled at Safeway before I signed up for Kaiser Permanente. While there, I picked up some frozen breakfasts and dinners.

One thing I keep forgetting about Safeway (this location, at least) is to avoid it on Sundays when it's crowded. When there are long lines for both the regular checkouts (only two open) and self checkouts, patience is a virtue. Another thing I forgot was the self checkouts don't recognize the "50% Off" stickers placed on the clearance items, meaning I paid full price for those items.

After being spared of hearing her voice for a few months, the "Slime Lady" called during a segment on gays and lesbians (of course!) Her claim this time was that lesbians are actually heterosexual.

I shoveled the 6-10 inches of snow off of my car and parking space so I could drive to pick up my medication. A bit more snow is expected overnight, less than an inch.

The room block for this year's RMFC will open on Sunday. I may get a room with two beds since my fursuit will (hopefully) be finished by then and I could have a handler/friend share the room with me.

Only 34 days until Furry Fiesta!
jcollie719: (Ryan Stiles Finger)
I think I'll wait until tomorrow to pick up my medication. Today's high won't get above freezing. Also, the roads (and my car) are still snow-covered.

I scheduled an appointment for next Wednesday with a new therapist.

I need to go shopping for bread ingredients and appetizers today. The appetizers are for a pre-Thanksgiving party, and I wanted to make corn bread and banana bread for Thanksgiving dinner. While I'm out, I will also get my car's oil changed and pick up my Alprazolam refill.
jcollie719: (Panda Kigurumi)

I will head up to Denver for RMFC in about 10 hours. I wanted to leave home around 2 PM, but my medication refill won't be ready until at least 3:30.

UPDATE: (11:15 PM) I left home much later than planned.  I was hoping to avoid rush hour, but I got into Denver just after 6 PM and checked into my hotel room around 6:30.

My doctor wrote a prescription for some foam to treat my hemorrhoids. It seems to be working so far since it stops the itching and burning for at least a few hours.

Starting Friday with a stuffy nose made me realize I forgot to pack a bottle of Zyrtec allergy pills. I got some Benadryl from the resort's convenience store.

After flying in to Orlando on a red-eye flight Thursday, I napped for a few hours. The cruise reunion group had dinner that night.

To be continued as I'm starting to doze off.

(The above was written on Friday night.)

On Friday, some of the reunion group went to Universal Islands of Adventure. I was hoping to ride The Hulk roller coaster. The rides with shoulder restraints have a couple of test seats at the ride entrance to see if people will fit into them; I didn't fit into the seats for three of the rides since the safety belts were 2-3 inches too short for me. That's quite ironic that a ride would be named after a character that wouldn't be able to fit in the ride (at least when he gets mad!)

I finally found two rides that could accommodate me, the Spider-Man ride and the Cat In The Hat ride. At the end of the park visit, the group (including me) went on three of the water rides.

I am disappointed that I missed out on riding some of the rides, but that will definitely motivate me to stick to my diet and exercise plan so I can fit into the rides the next time I go.

Thursday night's dinner was at Tu Tu Tango. The group hoped to get into Howl At The Moon before 10 PM, but there was a private event going on until then. We killed some time at the Hooters next door until Howl let us in.

After the Universal trip on Friday, I went back to the resort where the group was staying to shower and change clothes. I returned to Universal later to meet the others for dinner at Margaritaville at Universal City Walk.

Bah! Dozing off again. I'll wrap up my weekend in a day or two.

I actually managed to get at least 6 hours of sleep Saturday night. I fell asleep around 9:30 PM, woke up at 3:30 AM to pee, then slept a bit more until 4:10. I actually felt rested and didn't curse when the alarm woke me up.

I thought I had forgotten to pick up my generic Prozac refill. I ran out of my previous refill on Friday. I found I had picked up the refill a while back, put it in my briefcase and forgot about it.
jcollie719: (Craig Ferguson Ooooo)
I got the results of my recent blood test in the mail Saturday. The only bad things were high cholesterol (115) and not getting enough Vitamin D. The doctor gave me a prescription for a Vitamin D supplement, then asked me to take an over-the-counter supplement once that runs out. In addition, I will do my best to eat more foods with Vitamin D and get outside more since the sun causes bodies to produce the vitamin.

Another employee offered to relieve me at work Saturday night so I can go to the bowling meet.

It's been snowing in parts of town recently. I reprogrammed my thermostat so my condo can be a bit warmer at night and a bit cooler during the day. I also picked up refills for both of my medications. I hope this will lessen the weather-related depression I have from time to time.
