While my rental car was at the car wash last Friday, I bought a car cell phone holder that attaches to the A/C vents. Having the phone closer to eye level will allow me to use the GPS without taking my eyes off the road, and also hear any directions or other audio better. Also, the A/C can cool off the phone since it occasionally gets hot when operating/charging in the car for a while. The cell phone battery I ordered on Amazon was out of stock, so it won't arrive with the SD card and a new mouse. I found another seller and ordered a battery there.

This weekend, the owners of the furstre.am web site shut down the site. As a result, the Funday Pawpet Show decided to shut down after 17-18 years. I began watching FPS in 2009 and made it part of my regular Sunday night entertainment. I'll definitely miss it.

I basically went to FoxTrot as myself last night. My rental car is a bit smaller than my main car, so the fursuit case wouldn't have fit in the back. It would have been too hot to wear my kigu, and I forgot to wear my collie tail. I got more fluffy hugs this time from local furs who recognized me, as well as furs who had been away at BLFC in June. A local community radio station, KOMF-LP 104.7 actually broadcast live from the Wrangler during FoxTrot.

The usual Sunday furry entertainment took a break this weekend due to Megaplex. Doggy Radio will begin in about half an hour.

I forgot that my therapist's office had moved to a new address. I went to the original location at first, then looked up the new address on my phone.

I missed the Tuesday fur meet, but I'll be going to the Thursday pizza meet near my home. I'll catch The Psychedelegates on Friday night at a bar near Powers and Galley, then FoxTrot is Saturday night.

I just got some sad news on Telegram. Richard Concepcion, the puppeteer who hosted the "Rapid T. Rabbit & Friends" show for over 30 years, has passed away. He was a guest on one of the first "Funday Pawpet Show" episodes I watched, then I found out Rapid's show preceded FPS.

I partially suited last night at the FoxTrot meet. The fursuit's case just barely fit in my car's back seat; I had to move the driver's seat forward and force the case in a bit. The case is 20 inches wide, so I will look for a case that's only 16-18 inches. I didn't see as many friends at the meet since some of them are in Reno at BLFC. I had a cheeseburger, a couple of rum-and-cokes and a few glasses of water before putting on the suit's head, hand paws and tail. There were no chairs in the headless lounge, so I skipped putting on the foot paws. My belt broke during the meet, but it was able to hold my tail for the 20-25 minutes I was in suit. It was slightly dark in the club and difficult to see without my glasses. I got a few hugs and at least one person took my picture. After getting out of suit, I realized I had forgotten to put on a fresh layer of deodorant before the meet. Also, the burger made me a bit farty for a while. I'll do a better job of pre-meet bathing from now on.

UPDATE (8:35 AM): I found a couple of Rubbermaid containers that would fit my car: the Roughneck 66-quart tote (16.5 inches wide) and a large FlexTote (15.7 inches.) The latter has a zipper closure to make it more secure for flying. Both are clear.

Furry Weekend Atlanta and Motor City Fur Con are taking place this weekend. Because of that, some of the weekend furry shows were off. Bungee Skunk hosted a Jackbox Games stream since Steelwoulfe was away. The Funday PawPet Show stream was supposed to auto-play a rerun, but there was only a black screen after the "Let Your Love Flow" intro played. Fred Bedderhead had his own stream going. I tuned in for the beginning but left to nap for a bit.

Winter appears to be gone for now, though there has been a brief return in late-April in past years.

I've been turning off my front porch light before going to bed for the past few days. My bedroom window faces my front porch. While this can act like a night light, I think it's also affecting my sleep pattern by tricking my mind into thinking it's still daytime.

One thing I like to do in my spare time is to "go back in time" to look at old LiveJournal entries to see what has changed and what hasn't. I also add tags to any old entries where they're missing:
--Last year around this date, the "Colorado Furries Plus" group was shut down due to trolls reporting some of the images posted. I was invited to a private Facebook chat group with the group members, which caused me to not get much sleep that night.
--Five years ago, Melting Temple (a co-worker's former band) released their "Hunter's Moon" EP and held a release party/concert at the Ancient Mariner in Manitou. The band asked me to wear my panda kigurumi to the concert (I had skipped a fur meet to attend) and I got to dance on stage to some of the songs.
--Ten years ago, I was growing tired of being manipulated by a woman who claimed she was needing money for food, medical bills and other expenses. The first few times she asked, I felt sorry for her and sent the money. When the requests started becoming more frequent and she ignored my pleas to stop bugging me, I blocked her and shut down my Camfrog account. I started calling her "hney" because of how she constantly misspelled "honey."

Even though I dropped off my ballot long ago, I can't wait to say "Bye, Felicia" to this election cycle tomorrow.

My sleep schedule yesterday was a bit different. Instead of napping during the hours after work, I stayed up and watched the Funday Pawpet Show. The Rabbit Hole wasn't on afterward due to the host being away. Another furry hosted a game stream playing Quiplash 2, Tee K.O. and a couple other games. I napped for a few hours after that, then got up to listen to Doggy Radio.

I brought my laptop to work Saturday to attempt an "auto-pilot" stream on iVlog. Some of my settings were not correct since there was initially an audio echo. I got rid of the echo and restarted the stream, but I wasn't sure if the video was working or not. I gave up on streaming around 4:30 since "Oh! Pawpets" was doing an actual in-studio show (though not a full pawpet stage show.)

As an older cartoon said, "My desire to be well-informed is currently at odds with my desire to remain sane." Between the elections, the shootings in Orlando and other events, I find myself listening to news reports and podcasts only 5-10 minutes at a time before pausing them to "recover."

My reaction during and after the Funday Pawpet Show "reviewed" the new Fursonas documentary:

I liked the documentary myself. As the FPS cast stated, I don't agree with the director's recording at AC without permission. However, the presentation was more balanced than some of the media portrayals of the fandom. Some of the FPS cast members said they didn't watch Fursonas or intend to, but they seemed to jump on the bandwagon of hating anything not showing Saint Kage as perfect. I got tired of all the salt being thrown on FPS and in the chat room, so I'm chilling listening to JaSonic's stream until RadioLawn begins.

There was a bit of unmelted snow left in some yards today. Otherwise, it wasn't a White Christmas this year. There are supposed to be snow showers overnight.

I got all of the presents on my list: two more Folkmanis puppets, a hand blender and "Weird Al: The Book." I also got a box of peanut brittle from one of my mom's nurses, a fleece blanket from my sister-in-law and my usual stocking of goodies. Both the breakfast and traditional ravioli dinner went very well. My dad accidentally knocked over the tree while handing out the gifts.

I finally got a haircut last Thursday night. This week, I need to:
* Get my car's oil changed and possibly repair the huge scratch/dent on the car's passenger's side
* Contact the credit union about being unable to use my business debit card
* Contact Free Speech TV in Denver to schedule the meet-and-greet I purchased
* Look for a new psychologist

For at least the next few weeks, I need to plan my Sunday afternoon/Monday morning sleep schedule better. The community maintenance crew has been firing up the lawnmowers and leaf blowers on Mondays around 7:45 AM. Also, the Funday Pawpet Show and most of the related shows on Sunday were moved up by an hour this week.

Last week's calorie average: 1,865.1
Days above 2,000 calories: 1 (2,150)

I did much better sleep-wise this weekend. I managed to get 5-6 hours of sleep on Saturday night, then another 6-7 hours last night. I usually nap after work on Sunday, then stay up all night for the Funday Pawpet Show, Radio Unifurse, Radiolawn, The Rabbit Hole and Doggy Radio. I missed the last three due to falling asleep around 9:30 PM (Radio Unifurse wasn't on this week, so a rerun of The Rabbit Hole took its place.) This weekend, I had to fill in for the person who normally follows me Sunday at KRCC, cutting into my normal nap time.

PAY for Sunday, April 8th: 10 hours (5-9 AM and 1-7 PM)

I tried to take a nap between shifts. Since my condo building is close to others, I was awakened a few times by kids (loudly) celebrating Easter. The noise level near my house will go up even further soon since the community pool half a block away should open within the next few weeks.

The co-worker for whom I'm filling in called me a few minutes ago and asked me to stay for his entire shift. I feel rested enough to stay up at least for Radio Unifurse and Radio Lawn/The Rabbit Hole when I get home. I'll miss all but the last 20-30 minutes of the Funday Pawpet Show.

I was lamenting that I'd be missing the Funday Pawpet Show this weekend, then I remembered it isn't airing this week due to Anthrocon. Of course, I'm still going to miss the OMFG Blitz Show (or most of it) because my Toastmasters group is having an informal meeting Sunday afternoon.

Speaking of the meeting, I need to buy the ingredients tonight for a side dish I'm bringing. I already have two of the ingredients for it at home.

I ordered a new AC adapter for my laptop Sunday morning. The cord has been malfunctioning for the past month or so. It actually stopped working tonight during the second half of the Funday Pawpet Show, almost completely draining the laptop's battery before the show was over. I tried unsuccessfully to run the video and chat room on my old iMac. Either it doesn't have enough memory or its processor is too slow. I encountered the same problem trying to run the chat room and The Rabbit Hole on iTunes. The new adapter should arrive later this week.

I caught a cold last Friday. I bought some medicine and soup to help tackle it.

Will my wish come true soon, or even at all? I'm tired of alternating between being kept awake at night by money worries and crying myself to sleep. I'm not uneducated or lazy (despite what John Boehner thinks.) I'm just having trouble finding an employer who will hire me. All I'm asking for is a chance.

I actually got to watch the last 90 minutes or so of the Funday Pawpet Show. My shift at Luce ended around 5:50 PM instead of 9 PM. I got to watch them reading my PawTweet about not being able to watch the show!

I had lunch at Souper Salad with an OA member yesterday, then we and another friend went for a walk in Garden Of The Gods Park. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garden_of_the_Gods

My shift at Luce Research ended early (about 2.5 hours early) since the project I was working on was stopped. Having the extra time between Luce and KRCC allowed me to deposit my USAA check into my account. I now have money in both my account and my wallet instead of just one of them.

I'll be working at Luce again on Sunday from 2-9 PM. Just my luck: I have to miss the Funday Pawpet Show on my birthday weekend!

PAY for Sunday, January 17: 11 hours (5 AM-1 PM and 4-7 PM)

I was asked to fill in for another board operator at KRCC from 4-7 PM tomorrow. It's during the first three hours of the Funday Pawpet Show. I won't be able to be in the chat room, but I'll try to catch parts of the live show between breaks here.

EDIT: The board op who follows me called in sick, so that's another 4 hours for me today. The more, the money-er!

I called the companies for my car insurance and Visa card. I told the insurance company I wouldn't be able to make a payment until Friday. They made note of this and agreed to waive the late fee. For the Visa card, the company asked me a few questions to see if I qualified for a reduced payment plan. I'll be paying $191 per month for 5 years, with my interest rate reduced from 20% to 4.25%.

Sunday turned out to be better than I expected. The Funday Pawpet Show won't be back until next Sunday, but the Kevin Pollak Chat Show had "Weird Al" Yankovic on his show. After that, a nice bubble bath helped me relax before bed.
