I'd better get a raise next year. :(

I looked at the condos. The two-bedroom one was vacant, but the owner of the one-bedroom was still living there (with all of her pets.) I was told the one-bedroom would be thoroughly cleaned when the owner moved out, so the pets' hair and dander wouldn't be left behind. I'd much rather have the two-bedroom, but I don't want to overburden my dad since it's $33,000 more than the one-bedroom. The two-bedroom is also a second-floor walk-up, so it would be harder to move furniture in and out. I mainly wanted to use the second bedroom as a den.
I'd be able to pay my dad $200-250 each month in rent, but he isn't sure it would cover the cost of utilities. After paying my monthly expenses, I only have $410 left over, so a $250 rent would leave me with $160 for food and other purchases. If my weekday job had given me the raise I asked for, I'd be able to pay a higher rent amount.
