Improving and accom(m)odating my skills
Jun. 18th, 2010 04:36 pmI took a computer skills evaluation course this morning. During the typing test, I hunt-and-pecked my way to 39 words per minute making only one mistake (leaving an M out of accommodate.) The instructor briefly showed me Microsoft Word, Excel and the new Windows 7, which I will be taught in future sessions. I only have experience with Windows XP. Soon, I won't have to pass over jobs which say "MS Word/Excel experience required."
My paid account is finally re-paid as of 15 minutes ago. I need to be very frugal over the next 10 days since I don't have an unemployment or KRCC payday next week. I have about $325 in my checking account and over $150 available on my credit card, which I'll do my best to not use for a bit.
