Long but fast line

Even though the reg line wound its way around the con area, it moved fairly quickly. I got in line just past 9 AM and got to the registration room around 10:15. I missed the opening ceremonies since it took another 40-45 minutes to get through the final line and complete my registration.

The 16th Street Mall outside the con hotel has a bunch of construction going on. The free shuttle that usually travels the length of the mall currently only serves the western side, about 6 blocks from the hotel. I went to Noodles & Company for lunch and got their spicy Korean steak noodles.

I'm about to get dinner in the hotel, then watch TaebynPup sing Weird Al songs. I should also get some ibuprofen from the front desk or gift shop since my knees and ankles really hurt from all the reg line standing.

Pain pain, go away

The hotel gift shop is listed as being open until 10 PM every day. When I got to the gift shop around 7 PM, there was a sign on the door saying they were closed but would return at 7:40. I bought a bottle of Advil when they reopened and took one of the tablets at dinner. It will feel good to not have to limp for the rest of the con. At times in my room, I felt like a newborn infant having to grab onto things in order to walk upright.
