I've just finished filing my first unemployment payment claim for the past two weeks. I'll check my state-issued debit card tomorrow to see if the money was deposited in that account.

Hearing about President Bush's encounter with a shoe-throwing protester in Iraq reminded me of Chevy Chase reading the news on Saturday Night Live. I imagined Chevy saying "Luckily, alert Secret Service agents were able to wrestle the shoe to the ground."
