KRCC phone duty again...

I skipped last night's cruise chat so I could get 3 hours of sleep before work tonight. After work, I'll be answering phones for the KRCC membership drive from 6-9 a.m. Thankfully, there won't be any kids there since the open house is over.

I don't know if I keep forgetting to set my work VCR to record the analog signal for channel 5, or if one of my co-workers keeps switching the tuner box to the digital signal. The digital signal behaved for the most part on Friday and Saturday, but it was complete crap on Sunday. I'll have to look online for Sunday's stories.

DAYS OF TORTURE LEFT!

If I can't afford a complete costume next year, I may just order a partial, then order the body the following year. The partial would consist of the head, arms, feet and tail.

It was like bacon :)

This morning's KRCC membership drive started out slowly, but it really picked up close to 9:00. The first call I took was from a relay operator (an operator who relays TTY messages typed by deaf people) but the caller was actually trying to reach a computer store. I managed to take a few pledges during the three hours I spent on the phones. A catering service which underwrites some of the station's programs brought over scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, croissants and bagels, so that kept me happy (especially the bacon!)
