My flight to Orlando landed a half hour earlier than scheduled. My debit card was declined when I tried to pay for my taxi to the pre-cruise hotel. Thankfully, I had enough cash on hand. I was given a family bedroom at the hotel which had a regular double bed and some bunk beds.

The group I am cruising with took a shuttle to Port Canaveral. We had lunch onboard the ship, then held a '70s/'80s party later in one of the conference rooms. I wore a T-shirt that says "Save Ferris" for my '80s costume.

For a moment, I thought I had forgotten to pack enough underwear for the trip. I forgot I had stuffed the underwear in one of the pockets in my suitcase. Today, I discovered I left my medicated shampoo at the pre-cruise hotel.

The first stop of the cruise was today at the private Coco Cay island. The island is split into several areas including one with a water park and kids play area. I opted for the adults-only section called Hideaway Beach. The weather was windy at first, but the sun came out and the wind died down later. I had lunch at one of the restaurants then had a few drinks at one of the bars.

I'll be getting off the plane in Orlando in just under 24 hours from now. I'm finishing up my packing for the trip, then I need to confirm my hotel reservation for the pre-cruise night. I'm having trouble locating my bathing suits since I haven't needed them for a long time.

One week from today, I'll be boarding the Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas ship for a week-long cruise. I have everything I need for the cruise except for my "White Night" clothes, which should arrive in a day or two. Most of my past singles cruises have been aboard Carnival ships. I can't wait to explore the new ship when I'm not exploring on land.

The company that booked my pre-cruise hotel stay in Orlando called me today. They said the hotel I originally chose will be closing in July. Considering all of the negative reviews the hotel has been getting, I'm not completely surprised.

My reservation was moved to another hotel less than a mile from the original one. The new hotel has many more positive reviews. I just need to call the booking company the day before my stay to make sure the reservation is still active.

The only repairs my car needed were new wiper blades and removing rust from one of the battery terminals.

Being unemployed and having two upcoming vacations is frustrating. I want to find work, but I'm afraid of not being able to take the time off for the vacations if I am hired before August or October. I've almost paid off the cost of the October cruise and have paid for the pre-cruise hotel and flights. I don't want that money to go to waste.

I'll attend a Singles Valentine's party later today at a local bar.

I'm a bit worried about the hotel where I'll be staying before my October cruise. The most recent reviews for the hotel are a mix of 5 stars and 1 star. The 1-star reviews mainly say the rooms are dirty, with a few people mentioning bugs and broken bathroom fixtures. Other reviews say certain buildings in the complex are clean. In the past, I've always gotten a clean room even at hotels with reviews like these. I had considered switching to a more highly rated hotel where others in the cruise group are staying, but my reservation is non-refundable. I'll just hope for the best in getting a good, clean room.

I have a large sweet potato left over from Thanksgiving. I wasn't sure what I wanted to make with it, but I remembered I could make potato chips using a mandoline slicer to cut the potato. I also have a bag of about 8 medium-sized regular potatoes.

I booked a hotel room for the night before my Halloween cruise. I was originally going to take either a red-eye or early-morning flight to Orlando and arrive 5-6 hours before the cruise departed. The organizer recommended arriving the night before in case of delays. The room I got was only about $130 (pretty good for a 3-star hotel in Orlando) and the hotel has some good food options nearby.

I went ahead and registered for Texas Furry Fiesta today and reserved my hotel room. Just 152 days away! I figured getting this out of the way early would work best for me. Hopefully I can afford Anthrocon in July. If not, I still plan to go on my friends' anniversary cruise next October.

A couple who met on the singles cruises I went on years ago have been married for nine years now. The couple have invited several of their past cruise friends on a 10th anniversary cruise next year. I'd love to go on the cruise, though that heavily depends on whether I find employment before then and can get the time off for the week or so of the cruise. On the low end, the cruise and airfare costs would be around $2,200; the high end would be around $3,400.

Boomer showed the logo of a radio station called WNUB in Vermont, which brands as "Dog River Radio" and has a Golden retriever in the logo. I thought they should have used a Spaniel or a Rottweiler for the logo since their nub tails would go with the WNUB calls.

I won't be able to afford this for a long time, but I was looking up flight costs for a vacation in Japan. I noticed that on some of the flights home from Japan to Colorado, I would arrive hours earlier than my departure because of how the International Date Line works. One flight would depart at 5:30 PM and arrive at 1:00 PM the same day.

I thought about doing a Rabbit Hole fill-in show after getting home from Pittsburgh Sunday afternoon. I had about two-thirds of the show planned when I started to feel sleepy again. I went to bed then got up around the time Radiolawn would normally start. I think Romeo said he'd be off next weekend as well. I'd be glad to fill in then if that's the case.

Romeo raised over $450 in the past week for the ALS Association in memory of Dogbomb. To commemorate topping the $400 mark, Romeo filmed himself doing the Ice Bucket Challenge.

I will get a haircut Wednesday so I can look nice for my trip on Thursday. I printed out some of the documents and reservations for the events I'll be attending with the singles group.

Just 6 days until I leave for Pittsburgh! My flight should land around 3:30 PM Thursday, then I should get to the hotel around 5:30-6:00. I'd most likely be able to meet with Boomer later that night, Friday afternoon around 2:00-5:00, or late Friday evening after 9:30. My singles group is having a 7:30 dinner on Thursday; I said "maybe" to that just in case. I wanted to be available Saturday night after the Pirates/Mets game, but I have an early flight on Sunday.

Pluto TV recently added two channels for game shows. Last year, they launched a channel called The Price Is Right: The Barker Era, currently showing episodes from 1983-1985. A new companion channel airs TPIR episodes from Drew Carey's first seasons. It's hard to believe Drew's hosted the show for 15-16 years already! Another new channel is airing Family Feud episodes from the Richard Dawson and Ray Combs eras.

My faster internet is now installed. I now get 100 Mbps on my cell phone. My laptop only registers 30-38 Mbps, but that's more than twice the speed I had before.

I upgraded the seats on my flights to and from Pittsburgh. This basically doubled the total cost, but having a wider seat and better food options is worth it.

I got an e-mail from the airline later saying my purchase was being refunded. I was worried the First Class seats weren't available. Thankfully, the refund is for my initial upgrade to Economy Plus.

After looking through the Funday Pawpets episode list, I found a specific parody song I was looking for: A parody of The Monkees' "I'm a Believer" called "I'm a Retriever." Unfortunately, the artist's name was not listed and it's not coming up when I search the lyrics. There are other parodies with this title, but they're not this specific one. I've tried to Shazam the song, and also looked on YouTube and Dr. Demento's site. No luck. I later thought the song was by Trout Fishing in America, but I don't see it on any of their albums either.

Only 29 days until my singles cruise reunion in "Pizza-Baggu!"

I bought two new shirts since some of my current shirts are getting worn out. Since I usually gain weight on vacations, I ordered a size larger than I normally wear. I also got a cooling visor cap.

My new APAP machine has been shipped. It's due to arrive by Thursday night.

I booked the flights and hotel for my trip to Pittsburgh. I also paid for two of the planned activities: a dinner cruise on the city's rivers and a Pirates game at PNC Park. I originally thought I could stay until Monday, but the special hotel room rate is only available Thursday through Sunday. I'll fly home late Sunday morning instead.

I have a meeting to attend this Thursday night, but I'll be doing food deliveries both before and after the meeting since it's 4/20. So far this week, I've made enough to pay for about 6% of my trip.

I got home from Furry Fiesta around 3:10 PM today. The convention itself was very good, though long waits for elevators and not enough parking put a damper on things for me. It took 90 minutes of driving through the parking garage before I could find a space.

I'll break up my trip report into pre-convention, convention and post-convention to make things easier.

WEDNESDAY
I left home around 7:30 AM then got breakfast in Raton, New Mexico just after 10 AM. I had plenty of time to have lunch at Furrbie's diner in Amarillo since I arrived earlier than expected. One of the waitresses said I looked familiar to her. I had visited Furrbie's back in 2018, but the waitress was thinking of someone who visited more recently.

I spent the night in Childress, Texas at the same motel I stayed last year. This time the elevators were working! I forgot to change the top on my APAP tank, so it still had the open spout for my machine's cleaner. I went to the Dollar Tree to get some plastic wrap, tape and pencil erasers to cover the spout. I picked up dinner at Taco Bell on the way back to the motel.

If I stay at this motel next year, I'll make a note that the rooms have both refrigerators and microwaves. (The hotel in Amarillo where I stayed on Monday night also has these.)

THURSDAY
I stopped at Buc-ee's in Fort Worth on the way to the convention hotel. I got two of their Texas cheesesteak burritos to have for lunch and dinner, along with some bottles of water and two rice crispy treats.

The registration line for the con moved MUCH faster than last year. The "line before the actual reg line" only took an hour to get to the front. Unfortunately, a tornado warning forced everyone in line to take shelter for a while. When the coast was clear, it took another 40 minutes to get through the line again and about 10 minutes to get registered.

I'll give a more detailed account of my Furry Fiesta trip next week.

I just avoided a snowstorm in Colorado, but there's been some rain and strong winds in Texas this weekend. Registration on Thursday was briefly disrupted by a tornado warning.

Speaking of registration, the lines were MUCH quicker than last year.

I had lunch on the trip down at Furrbie's diner in Amarillo. In Fort Worth, I stopped at Buc-ee's to get their hallowed Texas cheesesteak burrito and some bottles of water.

I went to "TaebynPup Sings Weird Al" this afternoon. After the show, I got a lunch that Taebyn did a video about: a crispy chicken sandwich and nummy nummy tot-tots! Later tonight, Avian Invasion and Gojii will be deejaying at the dance.

I leave for Dallas in less than 36 hours! On Tuesday, I need to get a haircut, clean out my car and get its oil changed.

My liquor would get arrested in some states because it's in drag! The liquor store put my Fireball & Kahlua bottles in plastic "fishnet" covers so they wouldn't bump together and break.
