Off duty

I checked into the county courthouse at 8 AM for jury duty. After filling out the jury questionnaire, I waited to see if I would be called. There was a board with the names of three judges needing jurors, but two of the names were erased about an hour later. When jurors were called for the third judge, I thought my juror number was going to be called at one point. Luckily, the number called was three away from mine. Everyone who wasn't called to serve was sent home around 9:30.

One of the songs played on the radio at the courthouse was Luke Combs' cover of "Fast Car." I had to Shazam the song to get the artist because I thought "That doesn't sound like Tracy Chapman."
