The AC adapter for my laptop (part of it, at least) stopped working either last night or this morning. The past few times I needed a new adapter, the top half which plugs into the laptop itself needed replacing. This time, the bottom half which plugs into the wall needed replacing. I still had the bottom half from a previous adapter. Plugging that in with my current top half got the laptop working again.
I went grocery shopping with my dad since he recently had back surgery and can't do any heavy lifting. It's been over 20 years since I've been on Peterson Air Force Base. Since then, the BX and commissary moved into a larger building on the east side of the base. As we entered the east gate, the electronic sign said the commissary was closed due to computer problems. Additional signs outside the commissary said they were having problems with the cash register. We ended up shopping at a Safeway on the drive home.
Dad said my tax refund this year will be around $400-500. That's about how much I expected it to be. That plus the extra hours I'll work during the KRCC membership drive later this month will help me pay my bills.
