Makin' it rain

My dad called me around 4:00 to say he wouldn't be able to have my dinner ready at 5:00. His sump pump broke down, and the basement got flooded from this week's heavy rains. He said I could come by to pick up my groceries. I went to the house around 4:30, where Dad gave me the partially-cooked dinner (bratwurst) for me to heat at home, along with my groceries.
