I just reheated and ate the gnocchi I made for dinner tonight. They do taste good, though the crunchy bits of sweet potato that didn't mash properly do clash with the rest of the dish. If I try this dish again, I'll make sure to bake the potatoes before peeling them, and possibly use a small scoop or something similar to ensure the gnocchi are all roughly the same size. As my hands were getting stickier, I started getting impatient and dropping larger balls of the dough into the water. I looked up Italian dessert recipes for next time since almost everyone brought a main dish. A recipe for pumpkin-gingersnap tiramisu looks tempting!
