Just spicy enough
Oct. 21st, 2020 01:10 pmThe Cajun food I had Tuesday night definitely had a kick to it, but it wasn't set-your-throat-on-fire hot. I ordered some red beans, rice and smoked sausage, with sides of green beans, mac-and-cheese and cornbread. I was full after that, mainly because I had eaten a late lunch about 2-3 hours earlier.
Speaking of spicy food, I heard Dunkin' has a new doughnut with ghost pepper frosting. I'll see if I can get one later this week. (Wreckless Eating on YouTube said the doughnut doesn't have much heat.)
One of the restaurants I did a pickup from last week had Vance Joy's "Fire and the Flood" playing over the speakers as I walked in. I hadn't heard the song before, but I thought the instrumental part of the chorus sounded like the old "Wheel of Fortune" theme.
