Halfway to TFF
Mar. 16th, 2022 10:46 pmNext year, I should buy a collapsible luggage cart. I needed to pack a few more things this year which take up more space.
I finished packing and left home around 8:15 for the first leg of my TFF trip. I stopped in Raton, NM for lunch at a Sonic Drive-In then refueled in Dumas, TX. This year I took the shorter US-87 route through northern New Mexico and Texas, then took Route 287 southeast to a motel in Childress. I visited a nearby Dollar Tree to get some deodorant and shaving cream which I forgot to pack.
I had some good and bad luck today. Snow began falling in Colorado a few hours after I left the state. When I got to the motel, I was told the elevator was broken. Thankfully my room is only on the second floor.
