Headed to Pittsburgh, but not for that
Apr. 17th, 2023 03:49 amDuring Doggy Radio, one of my open browser tabs started playing the "Yahoo!" jingle repeatedly. I thought Boomer was playing it on the show at first!
Hearing Don Ray's "My Desire" before the show reminded me of both Jack Jones and Eilert Pilarm. Pilarm is known as Sweden's favorite Elvis impersonator, or perhaps its only Elvis impersonator.
Later this week, I will book a June flight to Pittsburgh for my singles cruise group's reunion. As I said in November, I wish I could afford to stay an extra month and attend Anthrocon. Of course, I likely wouldn't be able to find an available nearby hotel room before then. The cruise reunion's hotel is only 3/4 mile away from the convention center across the Allegheny River. However, I wouldn't want to walk or get a ride there and back constantly due to the summer heat.
