Work work work, busy busy busy
Aug. 11th, 2023 04:28 pmI just saw a Tweet from someone bragging about working 99.5 hours in a week and making around $1,157. I did the math and saw the person would have had to work 14 hours a day, 7 days a week at roughly $11.58 per hour. Even if I had a Teflon body like this person apparently does, there's no way I would work a schedule like that.
I compared that to my food delivery work which -- with customer tips -- averages $18-22 per hour. If I don't factor in the cost of gas for my car, I could make over $1,100 a week just working 7-8 hours per day. If I include the cost of gas, I'd have to work 10-12 hours a day. Of course, I'd have to pray my car stays in one piece or I'd need to work even more.
