jcollie719I just remembered today is my parents' 53rd wedding anniversary.
While going through some old posts, I found an LJ meme from 2007 and decided to update it for this year. A few of the answers remained the same, but most were different.
1. Where did you begin 2010?
At home, in bed.
2. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?
Attended furry conventions.
3. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I kept two of the four resolutions this year. I made more resolutions for 2011, and I know I can keep at least a few of them.
4. Were you in school (anytime this year)?
Just a job seeker training course.
5. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.
6. Any new additions to your family?
No.
7. Did anyone close to you die?
Someone I met on past singles cruises died in January after falling ill on a cruise.
8. Did you know anybody who got married?
No.
9. What countries did you visit?
I stayed in the U.S. this year.
10. How did you earn your money?
My KRCC job and (until October) unemployment pay.
11. Where did most of your money go?
Paying bills.
12. Did you have any encounters with the police?
No.
13. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
A full-time job or a high-paying part-time job.
14. What date from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Thanksgiving, because I accidentally set off the burglar alarm at my parents' house. (The dinner was being held at my brother's house, but I forgot.)
15. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Joining Overeaters Anonymous and losing over 40 pounds.
16. What was your biggest failure?
Finding a new job with regular hours.
17. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I suffered a bout of dizziness due to ear wax buildup and/or poorly-prepared food.
18. Where did you go on holidays/vacation?
Addison (Dallas,) TX for Furry Fiesta and Denver for Rocky Mountain Fur Convention.
19. What was the best thing you bought?
A panda kigurumi.
20. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Senator Bernie Sanders, for standing up for the poor and middle class who are still struggling.
21. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Most politicians, for ignoring the poor and middle class.
22. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Attending Furry Fiesta and meeting a few online friends in person.
