Okay, THAT's why! The VCR I brought from home was set up for output on channel 4 instead of channel 3. I get a picture now, but the recording heads must need cleaning because a giant patch of static appears across most of the picture. Adjusting the tracking didn't solve the problem. I'll bring my head-cleaning cassette to work on Monday to see if it can fix the problem. After my accounts recover, I'll bring the work VCR to a repair shop.

Oh, crap!

I had to submit a paper time sheet instead of using the payroll's computer system. As if that wasn't bad enough, my paycheck won't be deposited until next Tuesday. And to top it all off, both my eye doctor's check and my cell phone payment cleared, putting my account at -$200! This is turning out to be one crappy Friday.

Silver lining...

My MasterCard company raised my credit limit overnight, so I have $226 available instead of just $26. Now I don't have to delay my date (unless she doesn't feel like driving through eight inches of snow.)
