I slept from about 1-5 AM and 11 AM-4 PM Wednesday, so I've decided to stay up tonight. If I did go to bed now, I'd only get about 3 hours of sleep. I've got another morning of phone duty at KRCC from 6-9 AM (or longer if necessary.) The station only has about $31,000 left to raise. If the drive carries over to Friday, I'll go ahead and work then.

I need to see if I can reset the countdown timer for my unemployment pay's expiration. I received word that my work at KRCC (as well as the previous year's work at Metro Networks and my brief stint at the telemarketing business) qualified me for another year of unemployment pay. I'm still making my five job contacts per week as required. Hopefully I can at least find a seasonal job as Christmas nears.

I was worried my account would dry up (it's pretty arid at the moment) and I'd need to cancel my Vegas trip to put some cash back into my account. The additional hours I'm working during the KRCC membership drive will really help. The paycheck for this period (October 7-22) will be deposited on the 30th, so I shouldn't have any payment problems during the trip. I kept having visions of my credit card being declined and the hotel either holding onto my luggage or forcing me to work off my bill.

PAY for Wednesday, October 7th: 4 hours (6-10 AM)

I had a late change of heart and took a two-hour nap before heading to KRCC today. At first I considered calling the station to say I couldn't make it. I changed my mind after the question "You'd turn down free food?" popped into my head. The food and coffee almost always make me feel better.

PAY for Thursday, October 8th: 3 hours (6-9 AM)
The KRCC drive ended earlier this afternoon.
