Closer to a job?

My Vocational Rehab appointment today went pretty well. The counselor said finding a customer service job is virtually impossible given my weekend job. He told me about a few other job openings, including one at Fort Carson which hires a lot of DVR's clients. I should really brainstorm the types of (realistic) jobs at which I'd do well and be qualified. Most of my ideas so far involve sitting on my ass and letting others do my work for me. I don't think I'm quite ready to be a politician! ;)

I was going to mail my registration for Rocky Mountain Fur Con this past weekend. It would be better if I waited until the 30th or later to ensure I don't overdraw my account again. It's already on thin ice.

I've been living off my KRCC pay (and the occasional overdraft payment from my dad's account) since my unemployment pay expired last October. I've been applying for jobs whenever I find them, even a few I'm obviously not qualified to do. I'm willing to work, but all but one of the companies where I've applied were not willing to hire me due to my weekend job. The one company which did -- Luce Research -- only has me working 10 hours or less (often much less) per week. To all of the politicians who still want to call me lazy: Hire me to work for you. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

I'd only had about 1,265 calories by 8 PM. I decided to have some of my coffee-flavored brandy while listening to Bucktown Tiger's Ustream.
