Shine a little light on me
Nov. 5th, 2017 08:41 amMy weekend morning drives to work will be slightly brighter for a few weeks. Last week, the period just after nighttime called "astronomical twilight" began around 6:00 AM, when my shifts start. Now that Daylight Saving Time ended, my drive to work is during the next-brightest phase called "nautical twilight." The morning drive will be back in astronomical twilight by mid-December.
My alarm clock's touch screen didn't work last night. The last time this happened, unplugging the clock for a while fixed the problem. Hopefully that will work this time. If not, that's another "fix/replace" item on my expense list, joining my cell phone's screen, kitchen sink disposal and car's head gasket.
I've been given a few more talking breaks during the Sunday shows. It's nice to have a bit more to do, since the second half of my shifts had previously been on auto-pilot.
