jcollie719 | Laptop keeps nodding off

My laptop might be on its last legs. It's pretty much an antique since I got it for Christmas in 2002 or 2003. I only had to take it in for repairs once after the power supply broke in my suitcase last October. Tonight the screen went almost completely dark (not the slight dimming which happens when the adapter is unplugged,) requiring me to shut down and reboot the computer. This happened 3 times within 2 hours. I'm currently on my iMac, which is even older but not as heavily used. The only drawback to the iMac is it doesn't really have enough speed/memory to play videos/live streams. (Both computers use the same DSL modem; the laptop is connected via WiFi.)

I really hope the laptop lasts until I can afford to replace it. It picked a fine time to start acting up.
