No dining hall job after all

jcollie719My new Vocational Rehab counselor called this afternoon. After months of feeling confident about the Fort Carson dining hall job, I was told I wouldn't be hired because I wouldn't be available on weekends. I was initially told weekday-only workers would be hired after the weekend workers. I'm disappointed that either Fort Carson or Service Source didn't deliver what they promised. Hopefully my new counselor will work harder than the old one to help me find employment.
I signed up to do my next Toastmasters speech on August 5th, the week before I head to Rocky Mountain Fur Con. I still don't have an ending, but I added a bit more to the speech to make it 5.5 minutes when read quickly.
Subaru sent me their quarterly magazine today. According to an article, the 2012 Impreza will have a projected gas mileage of 27 mpg city/36 mpg highway. The 2012 Outback and Forester aren't listed on their website yet, but I hope they'll have similar gas mileage improvements.
