A not-so-okey-dokey attack

I forgot to put this in my Oklacon reports, but I never ran into my "dream woman" during the con (see my October 9th post.) I spent most of the convention at the lodge when I wasn't participating in events at the Turkey Roost or A-frames. I will try to get a space in one of the cabins if I go next year, or at least spend more time at the Turkey Roost area if I get a lodge room again.

Speaking of Oklacon, one of the pictures of the fursuit group photo on FurAffinity had a comment from someone saying I should have been kicked out of the parade for wearing a kigurumi. He followed that with the claim he "would have clubbed (me) like a wounded seal" if he had been at Oklacon. He was also at Furry Fiesta when I went there in 2010 and 2011 (and I wore my kigu in the parades.) He didn't do anything then, and though I worried about a future confrontation for a while, I'm sure he wouldn't actually attack me if/when I go to Furry Fiesta in 2012. If he has a problem with me, he can (a) give his opinion to me face-to-face, (b) start his own con where he can make his own rules and invite/ban whoever he wants, or (c) get over it and remove the dead bug from his ass. He is taking the furry fandom WAY too seriously.

If you plan on going to Furry Fiesta 2012, I would suggest taking it to the con staff to see if you can get him banned from the con.

I will keep that in mind, but I do hope banning is only used as a last resort. I've also looked up the number for the Addison police in case he actually does physically attack me.

I am curious as to who threatened you like this myself. That is Not Cool. I've seen people in just ears and a tail in fursuit parades, wearing paper bags, wearing solid-color lycra suits. Your kigurumi is way more of a fursuit than quite a few "fursuits" I've seen in fursuit parades. Whoever said that needs to Get a Furst Life.

I'm still not completely sure if he was being serious or sarcastic. Another post he made on his personal FA journal had me worried he might be serious. Also, it was more of a harsh comment about my kigu on another's photo rather than a direct threat.

Like I said, he was at Furry Fiesta when I was there this year and last, and I wore my kigu in the parade without getting any negative reaction from anyone.
