Recharging a neglected laptop

jcollie719I just ordered a new battery for my old laptop. The battery I have is depleted and won't recharge when the AC is plugged in. Since the laptop was bought in either 2003 or 2004, there weren't many sites which had the battery in stock. Even the Batteries Plus Bulbs site doesn't carry it. The new battery should arrive early next week.
