I ordered a new APAP machine today. My current machine was bought in 2016 and, according to recommendations, should have been replaced back in 2021. When I turned the machine on last night, I got a message saying "Motor life exceeded." The machine still runs, but I want to get it replaced before my vacation next month.

I was hoping to attend the FoxTrot meet in Denver tonight. I'll be going to a singles meetup in Colorado Springs from 5-7 PM. I'll likely be too tired after that. I'll either play in Steelwoulfe's game night or just go to bed early tonight.

I actually used my toilet plunger today to unclog my bathtub drain. The tub still had an inch or two of water from yesterday's shower. Hopefully I can clean the tub today or tomorrow.

The Subaru dealer called me this morning to let me know my car was ready to pick up. I originally wanted to pick up the car at 5 PM then go to a meeting at 6 PM. I ended up napping for much longer than I expected and took an Uber to the dealership around 5:40. Now I just have to concentrate on cleaning up the inside of the car before my Furry Fiesta trip.

Dog napped

I got home from the airport around 9:15 PM Sunday. I originally planned to nap until 1 AM then tune into Doggy Radio, but I was too tired. I woke up a bit after 4 AM and caught the show's tail end (because dogs.)

The temperature difference between cities wasn't as severe this time. Las Vegas was at 63° when I left, and Denver was at 41° when I arrived.

The flight home had some severe turbulence close to Denver. I was watching MTV's "Ridiculousness" on my seat-back monitor, and a collection of winter driving fails was playing while the turbulence was happening.

Catching up on e-mails, I see the medical device I ordered to help with my depression will arrive this week. Also, one of the radio stations in Denver asked me to fill out an application for a board operator position.

While I enjoy filling in for Romeo, I hate when his absence is due to other people being jerks to him. Hopefully the person responsible is banned from more cons in the future. Hopefully I can relax and get some more sleep in a bit.

My energy has just been zapped all week. I think my body is trying to catch up on the sleep I didn't get the week before. My sense of smell is back just a little bit.
jcollie719: (Tiger Jump)
I caught a cold sometime on Sunday or Monday. Right now, my nose isn't really stuffy, but I have a scratchy throat and a little sinus pressure. I'll get more rest over the next few days to hopefully get over the cold by the weekend.

My furnace turned on Sunday morning for a few minutes. I had added another blanket to my bed the night before and wore sweatpants to bed. Temperatures are supposed to get back into the 70s and low-80s this week.

I took a sleeping pill last night so I could actually sleep at a normal time instead of dozing off in the afternoon. I still needed a short nap this afternoon, though.

Vocational Rehab gave me a new list of job placement providers to contact. So far, one of the providers sounded confident about being able to help me since she has over 30 years of experience at her job.

I didn't realize I had run out of APAP masks when I went to replace the current mask over the weekend. I ordered a few masks and should receive them later this week.

I'm going over my old playlists from past Rabbit Holes/D.J. Collie Shows to see which songs I haven't played in a while. With some exceptions, I get nervous about replaying songs because I don't want listeners to get tired of them or have my shows all start sounding the same.

I took a short nap after game night so I can catch the last two hours of the Rabbit Hole 24-hour stream.

Looking on Google Maps, I noticed an abandoned building in Amarillo, Texas I had bookmarked is no longer there. One of my Route 66 guides mentioned a building called "Soultown" on Amarillo Blvd. Previous street views show the building was once an adult club called the "Crystal Pistol." The building had sat abandoned for some time before being torn down in early-2019. The current street view shows a Dollar General store is being built on the site.

I ordered four more APAP masks since I'm about to run out. These will last me until mid-May

When I moved into my condo in late-2007, the cable/phone/internet bundle I originally signed up for included three free months of HBO, Showtime and Starz. One of the comedy specials I got to see during that time was Bob Saget's "That Ain't Right." After years of seeing squeaky-clean Bob on Full House and other network TV shows, it was a hilarious surprise to hear a blue streak flow from Bob's mouth. Rest In Peace.

I didn't ask for much this Christmas. I got a few new pairs of pants, a small telescope, a weighted blanket, a large hourglass and a HangAir hanger. Another furry recommended the HangAir for drying a fursuit after suiting.

I took a nap a bit earlier and will be heading out to dinner in an hour or so.

No white Christmas for me this year. Most of Colorado's snow was west of the Rocky Mountains.

I got my car's oil changed today, then picked up a new extension cord to use at OA meetings. My local group began having hybrid meetings this week, with members meeting in person and online. I brought my travel laptop to host the Zoom portion online. Next week I will bring some external speakers. Zoom was hard to hear even with my laptop's volume all the way up.

The Paxil I'm taking for depression isn't really more or less effective than the generic Zoloft I took previously. My weighted blanket is helping with sleeping better and being less anxious, but the depression wants to just keep me in bed. I'm looking for a way to become self-employed, but I can't do it alone and I don't know who I can turn to for help. I hope I can afford to retire by age 65, though I'd love to reach that point at least a few years before.

I used two Instacart discounts yesterday to get some food and other items. I bought a few snacks and frozen dinners from King Soopers. I used the second discount at Bed, Bath and Beyond to buy a new pillow for my bed and a bottle of Poo-pourri spray. Both of my old pillows (Which are at least 25 years old) barely have any fluffiness left. The new pillow is much more supportive and comfortable.

I originally planned to wake up around 9:30 for a catering delivery today. I ended up being awakened at 8:30 by the doorbell. The community is replacing the asphalt and concrete in the parking area on my street, so I needed to move my car. I did the catering delivery and a few more DoorDash deliveries in Denver, then got my car's oil changed afterward. I'll be doing some more GrubHub deliveries tonight.

Last night, I had trouble falling asleep due to really bad stomach pains. I finally got some sleep after taking some Pepto-Bismol. I cancelled a DoorDash catering order I had signed up for since I wasn't sure if I'd be well enough to do deliveries in the morning. I felt much better after getting sleep.

I had dinner with the singles group at Tony's bar downtown. I had a Frito Pie appetizer, a salad with bleu cheese dressing and buffalo chicken, and two mini-pitchers of light beer.
jcollie719: (Luigi)
I'm doing another partial fill-in for the Rabbit Hole tonight. I made sure to get plenty of sleep last night so my voice (hopefully) doesn't sound tired when I do the show.

This year, DenFur has been a combination of actual con activity and driving back home to get things I forgot. I had packed most of my APAP machine, but I forgot the headgear. I drove home after con registration Friday and got it. The APAP still wouldn't work because I forgot to bring a rubber seal for the water tank. Thankfully, I've been able to sleep without the APAP.

I missed the con's opening ceremonies, but I saw Cassidy Civet's concert later on Friday. In addition to performing songs from her album and singles, she talked about writing songs for the Eurovision song contest.

Today, I'll be seeing the band Run Definitely Run. The Patron dinner will be at 5 PM, then Avian Invasion will DJ at the dance at 9 PM. I will wear my fursuit at the dance.

I went online to order a book to use for my OA group when I realized today (6/21) is my 11th anniversary of joining the group. I added an 11-year coin to my order, which should arrive in 2-3 weeks.

The SDR I ordered last week should arrive tonight or tomorrow, and my APAP masks are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.
