I took some cost-cutting measures two months ago since I got laid off from my full-time job. (I still have a part-time job on the weekends.)

I've been buying more fresh ingredients for meals and fewer pre-packaged dinners. Also, I canceled my subscriptions to HBO, Cinemax and Showtime since the programs I watch on them won't air new episodes until sometime next year.

Okay, paying off my Visa bill before the cruise will be impossible since I'd need to pay roughly $530 (most of my paycheck) every two weeks. I will definitely ask my boss for a raise today or tomorrow. I also need to use virtually all of next week's paycheck to bring my Visa balance back below my credit limit and not exceed the limit again. I'm currently trying to think of all the excess expenses I can cut, like my Earthlink account and my magazine subscriptions. I plan to sell some of the CDs I don't listen to anymore. I could probably take the songs from the ones I do listen to and dub those onto mini-disc so I can sell those CDs, too. It sucks being in debt, unless you're in the government!
