(no subject)

I had a devil of a time getting to sleep last night. Yesterday was one of my "no Tegretol" days as I'm gradually tapering off. I also felt really sluggish after possibly OD'ing on chicken nuggets for dinner. I originally felt like calling in "sick" for today's Toastmasters meeting, but I'm starting to feel better.

I still have a bottle of St. John's Wort, which I sometimes used in the past between refills of Tegretol. I think I'll try taking one capsule before bed on the "no Tegretol" days to see if it helps me sleep better.

Leaving the driving to Greyhound

After weighing my travel options, I decided to use Greyhound to travel to and from Furry Fiesta. I know spending 15 hours on a bus with dozens of other people won't be quite as relaxing. However, driving myself would take longer since I'd have to stop for gas more often. I estimated gas and food expenses for the round trip to be around $320 (8 stops total; $30 for gas and $10 for food at each stop.) Using Greyhound would cost about $210 ($130 for the tickets, and 4 stops x $20 for food.)

On an up note, I bought a panda kigurumi outfit for the con.
