Sun setting on another good restaurant
Jan. 28th, 2018 08:02 amOne of my co-workers said he could fill in for me at work during Furry Fiesta weekend if another co-worker isn't able to. 11 more days!
The local Happy Hour group met downtown Thursday at Mackenzie's Chophouse. This restaurant has a great variety of martinis, both for dinner and dessert. I had a few of their cherry limeade martinis and some kobe beef nachos. I didn't have a dessert martini because I wanted to attend the monthly Drinking Liberally meeting afterward.
The Sunbird restaurant is closing next Sunday. This restaurant overlooks I-25 in the Rockrimmon area and has great views of the city to the east and south. The Happy Hour group will meet there on Thursday. I'll definitely miss the restaurant's "Funbird Sunbird" and other Mason jar drinks, along with its excellent food.
