Making cheaper choices
Jan. 29th, 2018 04:20 pmA rep from a home repair company which has worked on other condos' windows came by earlier to meet with me and my dad. The estimate for replacing my bedroom window was about $2,400. Dad and I obviously declined that offer because the window itself is in perfect condition. I will call a different company to have the wood and putty around the window replaced.
This morning's dental appointment went well, though the work required for a few of my teeth may put a strain on my budget for a while. In addition to the chipped tooth, the dentist found 4-5 other teeth with decay. I enrolled in a discount plan to reduce my costs, but the total cost of the dental work will be somewhere between $3,700 and $5,100. I hope spacing out some of the procedures over the next year or so will make that cost more manageable.
