A possible second chance and a just-in-case backup

CONEXIS sent me an e-mail today stating I could contact their Appeals Department to try and restart my health insurance. I mailed a letter to them a few minutes ago. Yesterday, I signed up for an insurance plan which will give me the basic coverage I need for about half the cost of the CONEXIS plan. Of course, if what I heard about Obama's stimulus plan (big savings for COBRA participants) is true, CONEXIS could soon become the cheaper option. If my coverage is restarted, I can just cancel the backup insurance at the end of the month. Knowing I now have these options has helped me relax a great deal. Maybe I'll be able to sleep well tonight.
