Could I have a job soon?

A local call center where I submitted an online application e-mailed me today. They said the starting pay for their positions is $9 per hour, and they asked if that salary was acceptable for me. I responded saying I'd love to start at that level. I forgot if the position is full- or part-time, but even a part-time job would pay a bit more than the unemployment benefits I'm currently getting.

I'm thankful that my dad is letting me slide on paying rent while I search for a job. Once I build my account balance back up, I plan to pay back all the rent I owe.

One of my Twitter friends showed me this link to what could be described as an instant heart attack. A minor-league baseball stadium in St. Louis makes the Krispy Kreme Bacon Cheddar Burger, with a bun made from a glazed doughnut. It's as if someone thought "I love doughnuts and I love bacon cheeseburgers, but having to eat them separately is such a hassle."

That, my friend, is what is known as a Luther Burger, named for Luther Vandross, who was said to be a fan of the burger and possibly its inventor.
