Unemployment troubles

jcollie719I got through to someone at the unemployment office after being on hold for more than 2 hours. I was informed my unemployment benefits had run out earlier this month. Luckily, I qualified for a 20-week extension. My payment for last week will be deposited Wednesday or Thursday.
No one had previously told me my benefits expired. I figured they would automatically last until the end of October, when my claim expires. My checking account currently has a negative balance because my insurance payment took an additional $57 out.
