Still in search of the elusive job

jcollie719According to the instructions in my unemployment handbook, my next unemployment check won't be deposited until sometime between November 12th and the 26th. What the Department of Labor fails to realize is even though my unemployment payments will stop for a few weeks, my regular bills don't stop. I will attempt to explain my situation to the car insurance and Visa people either Saturday or Monday. Hopefully one or both of them will have some compassion.
The Department of Labor's job-finding Web site is very peculiar when it comes to deciding what jobs I qualify for. One position I qualified for said a valid medical license is required (which I don't have.) On the other hand, the list said I didn't qualify for a dishwasher position at a restaurant because I don't have any professional dish-washing experience. I guess years of washing dishes at home and in home-ec class doesn't count. I've started looking into temporary holiday jobs since the hiring process for those should begin soon.
