Laboring on Labor Day
Sep. 4th, 2006 04:26 amI forgot today is a holiday. I didn't call my boss in Denver ahead of time to verify if I had the day off or not, so I'm playing it safe by working today. I wonder if I'll get overtime pay for this (Probably not.)
I participated in a chat last night with the singles cruisers. I know a few of them from the January cruise. Depending on whether or not my latest Visa payment gets posted by Tuesday morning, I'll have a cushion of either $40 or $130 in my balance. The payment has been processed. It's just a matter of actually having the money available when I need it.
I thought about booking the Mediterranean cruise in July 2007, but I think I'll save that for 2008. An inside single cabin plus round trip airfare currently costs around $3,800. (I'm sure the price will go up closer to cruise time.) If the Trek settlement arrives by then, I could afford it, but I'd be screwed if it didn't arrive. A double cabin would save me money, but I don't want to subject another roommate to my snoring. I need to order SnoreStop tablets online since the local drug stores only carry the spray.
