--Bring "For Housekeeping" envelopes with tips for each day. (I previously left one tip at the end of my stay, but Istanbul said different people often clean the rooms each day.)
--Either wrap my medication case separately in a snack bag or tape the compartments shut to avoid the case opening and pills falling out.
--Bring a day or two of extra medication just in case.
--If intending to pay by credit card, make sufficient payments at least 3 days before the trip.
--Upload photos/videos to laptop or SD card-to-CD writer EVERY DAY.

Good info there!

Here's a couple more from a frequent traveler you might find useful:

- Pack a few over-the-counter meds along w/your prescription stuff. A small travel bottle of aspirin or your fav pain relief. Decongestant/cold tabs, and cough drops, etc. may help if allergies or "con crud" begin to strike your (or your buds) before con's end.
- Avoid liquid cough syrups, creams, etc., unless absolutely necessary if you're planning on carrying your luggage on aircraft.
- A small pill bottle of baking soda will scrub teeth and freshen breath as well as toothpaste, and doesn't have to get pulled out for screening at every check station when flying
- A 3-4ft Ethernet cord can be handy if you get one of the older rooms that has "plug in" net instead of wifi (there's still some of those out there), or if you want to 'lap link' and share files/photos
- Tuck in one of those celo-packaged sets of plasticware (knife, spoon, etc) that many fast-food places have. You may find it handy if you bring a "doggie bag" back from a restaurant, but find later you don't have utensils at the room to eat it with later.
- On the same note, taping a couple of those porta-packs of salt and pepper to that plasticware pouch can help season leftovers or "to go" goodies at the room later, if they don't come with their own

I had brought a couple of OTC meds for allergies and relaxation. I lucked out this time by avoiding con crud. I'll definitely keep the other tips in mind. Thank you!
