More work and less play make me more money
Mar. 5th, 2012 11:00 pmI brought my laptop into the repair shop last Friday to have it cleaned, remove viruses, improve its speed, etc. I was hoping it would be ready today (Monday,) but the repairman called saying the mouse track pad wasn't working. I hadn't noticed since I mainly use an external mouse.
KRCC's membership drive began last week. The station was nearly halfway to its $215,000 goal Monday morning. I'll be answering phones from 6 AM-3 PM Tuesday and Thursday, and 6-9 AM Wednesday. If the drive doesn't wrap up by Friday (which looks likely) I'll offer to do more shifts over the weekend. This scrapped my plan to go to the Denver FoxDen meet Saturday. I will go to the Leela's meet on St. Patrick's Day, though.
My therapist gave me a list of "sleep rules" which will hopefully improve the quality (if not the quantity) of my sleep. The rules include: Only going to bed when I'm sleepy, focus on deep breathing once in bed and mentally block any stressful thoughts, get back up and read something if I don't fall asleep within a certain time frame. and try to go to sleep at the same time every night. The last one will be tough on weekends since I only have a six- to seven-hour window for sleeping Saturday night/Sunday morning. For example, if I go to sleep at midnight every night, I would only sleep about four hours Sunday morning.
