Tuesday turned out to be very nice. I had just settled down to watch "Turn Up The Night with Kenny Pick" (a Ustream political talk show every Tuesday and Friday) when a friend called and asked if I could give her a ride home from the garage. Her car had been acting up over the weekend, and I had given her a ride to and from Overeaters Anonymous on Monday. After driving her home Tuesday, my friend offered to cook dinner for me. I accepted, and we went for a walk in a nearby park while the dinner cooked.

It's nice to have a real meal every now and then. Since my dad shops for my food at the Peterson Air Force Base commissary (where it's much cheaper,) I should list the types of meals I like and have him get the ingredients so I can do some more actual cooking more than once every month or so. Lean Cuisine may be lower in calories, but microwaving foods quickly isn't as good psychologically. My friend told me the body and mind are more satisfied by smelling the food cooking slowly on/in the stove.

I'm considering selling some of my excess items at the flea market sometime next month. A few years ago, I bought a ton of patriotic items wholesale, believing they'd be popular sellers. I sold about 1/4 of what I had on eBay, but the rest has just been sitting in storage in my condo. The items include patriotic mailbox sticker kits, flag lapel pins, red white and blue lapel ribbons, guardian angel visor clips and nature sounds cassettes. I have a number of watches that I haven't sold. I should inspect them to make sure they still work. The big drawback is the flea market is only open on Saturdays and Sundays. I work on those days, so I could only spend 4-5 hours there Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon. I don't have a garage or a table for my back porch, otherwise I'd participate in the condo community's garage sales.

Tonight I went to the "Best of The Springs" event at the Fine Arts Center. It had lots of great food including barbecue, Thai, Brazillian, German, frozen yogurt and chocolates. I saw a few of my Twitter/Tweetup friends there.
