Hot stuff and a close call

jcollie719I've been making jalapeno ranch salsa dip to have with my carrots. A friend told me about this. I couldn't find any jalapeno ranch dressing where I usually shop, so I bought some ranch and added diced jalapenos. The past two times I made it, I added a few drops of ghost pepper sauce (1-2 drops per 1/4 cup.) It gives the dip quite a kick without being too strong.
While job searching, I saw an ad seeking actors for a 1950s-style movie. I called the talent agency and went into their office Monday. The person I spoke with said I needed to have publicity photos, which would have cost $400. The company doesn't accept personal checks, which would have been my only method of payment. I made an appointment for Wednesday, by which time I hoped to come up with a way to raise the money.
As luck(?) would have it, I looked up reviews of the company (Via Entertainment) last night. Virtually all the reviews were one star, with the only positive review posted by an employee. They had mentions on sites like RipOffReport.com as well. I called them back today to cancel my appointment. I'm glad I discovered this before giving them any money.
