Return to Peterson, take 2

jcollie719I went with my dad to Peterson Air Force Base to help him with grocery shopping. My dad had knee surgery last month and still needs a walker or cane to get around. I originally planned to go with him a few months ago, but the commissary was closed due to computer problems.
I think the last time I was on Peterson was in the mid-1990s when I worked at Ent Federal Credit Union and occasionally delivered supplies to the Peterson branch. At that time, the commissary and BX were just across the street from Ent. The old commissary building is gone now (replaced by a field) and the new commissary/BX is on the east end of the base.
