Fursuit parade group picture: (a) Look for where the photographer is. (b) Look for friends/guests who are typically in the front. (c) Don't stand too close to the row in front of you if it's packed; take a step or two back.

Driving: (a) Use I-25 to US 84 south to Santa Rosa, then I-40 east to Amarillo for first half of trip? Unable to listen to live shows on phone along parts of US 87 (Des Moines, NM-Dumas, TX) and the "detour" between Amarillo and Dalhart. (UPDATE: I plan to update my cell phone to use Verizon's towers, which cover much more territory.)
(b) Install satellite radio/GPS/Internet in car?
(c) Split driving into two days? Stay in Amarillo or nearby city overnight.
(d) Print maps in case of GPS/cell phone signal failure

Buy sturdier/slightly larger fursuit case, possibly with wheels? Part of one handle came loose.

Hotel: Buy more-easily-portable suitcases for clothes and fursuit? Parking is a bit of a walk.
Room TV has panel for plugging in RCA audio/video, HDMI, and USB.
