"Oh, the drivers outside are frightful..."
Feb. 6th, 2019 08:25 pmI made a few DoorDash deliveries in Denver today during a heavy snowstorm. Around 1:30 PM, I had received a delivery request with a pickup time of 3:15 PM. As I headed to the restaurant around 2:20, the customer called me to say the food was supposed to be delivered at 1:50. That customer canceled the order, but a different order came in with a pickup time of 3:24 and delivery time of 3:45. I headed to the restaurant as quickly as I safely could (with the highways still snowy and slick.) This customer called to say her order was supposed to be picked up at 2:30. I explained that my DoorDash app had given me a later time. The customer said to go ahead and pick it up. I got it to her around 3:10. I will let DoorDash know about the app errors.
The snow caused massive delays on the highways. My GPS had me get on and off I-25 at several points to avoid backed-up traffic, but it still took around 3 hours to get home.
