Kitchen not-quite-nightmares
Aug. 16th, 2020 11:47 pmOne of my goals for my condo is to clean up the kitchen so I can rearrange where I can store food, dishes and cookware. When I first moved in in December 2007, I had a large pot, a frying pan, a plastic colander and a plastic bowl, all of which I had bought from a thrift store. For Christmas that year, I got sets of dishes, bowls, silverware and glasses (4 of each) along with a microwave. Over time, I bought more cookware and tried to fit it and the food I bought all in my kitchen cabinets. My pantry has been mostly empty except for a handful of cleaning items. I need to throw out the cardboard boxes and other trash blocking the pantry, remove the cleaning items and other junk, then use the pantry for its intended purpose: storing food. I recently found a box of Quaker Oats that had expired in 2014. A few minutes ago, I found a barely-used jar of coconut oil pushed to the back of the cupboard; that oil expired in 2009.
