My car's battery died last night while I was making deliveries. Thankfully it happened after I dropped off a delivery rather than in the middle of one. USAA's Roadside Assistance sent someone out to jump my battery, and he also discovered my car's alternator was bad. I started to drive home around 9:45 PM, but my battery ran out of juice again about halfway there. I made another call to USAA, who had trouble finding an available tow truck driver. I couldn't charge my cell phone's battery (which was below 10% at this point) and was starting to freeze, so I called a taxi to take me home around 12:15 AM. An hour later, USAA called and said they found a tow truck. The driver called me later needing the car keys since I had them. He picked me up at home and drove me to where my car was parked to tow it back home.
I made an appointment for this afternoon at Pep Boys. A tow truck should be here in an hour to take my car there.
