DoorDash rubbed me the wrong way
Nov. 18th, 2021 04:58 pmI had signed up for two catering deliveries today, but ended up not making either of them. I was supposed to do the first delivery, pick up lunch between 11:00 and noon, then do the second delivery.
The first delivery had a pickup time of 10:23 AM even though the restaurant opens at 11:00. The restaurant manager said the order receipt listed an 11:00 pickup. The restaurant was short-staffed and swamped with catering orders. My order wasn't ready until 1:30 PM, by which time the customer had cancelled the order. I had to cancel my second order because I was still waiting for the first one to finish. I got a partial payment of around $16 for my inconvenience.

As with a previous late cancellation, I got to keep the food that was already made. At least I'll have some good meals for a week or two.
