Light up the...whoops!
Dec. 4th, 2008 09:59 amTwo of the adhesive hooks holding my Christmas lights in the window came loose yesterday. I couldn't reattach the hooks and push pins wouldn't hold the lights in place, so I've got them draped over the fireplace and TV. During the move, part of the cord dropped and one of the bulbs shattered. I wish I had gone shopping last night to pick up some new bulbs. Half the bulbs in the strand are burned out.
Before going to bed, I had a depressing thought and an encouraging thought. The depressing thought was whether or not I'll ever get married. The encouraging thought was if I save the money currently in my Roth IRA (using the Rule of 72) it will grow to about $448,000 by the time I'm 68.
