Nov. 19th, 2008 10:33 pm"Cruise planning" note for the Halloween cruise (if I go): Bring a raincoat/plastic shield. Remember what happened in Grand Cayman!
Tomorrow the local workforce center is holding a job fair. I've printed out 20 copies of my resume, but I ran out of resume paper about halfway through. Since I'll likely be meeting several non-radio employers, I added my credit union experience to the resume and removed the "Objective: On-air and/or board operator at a radio station" line. I still kept in all of my radio-related jobs in case some of the skills match what an employer is looking for.
"Labels, I've got labels/I've got stacks and stacks of labels...LABELLLLLLS!" It seems like every week I receive an envelope of return address labels from some charity that wants me to donate. I've given to a couple, but I can't afford to keep giving to all of them. At least that's one thing I'll never have to worry about ordering or printing out. I actually used some of the labels to cover up my old address on the contact cards I brought on last month's cruise. I still have a box of labels with my old address. I've been using those as labels for the CDs and DVDs I've been burning.
