jcollie719[Error: unknown template qotd] I first heard of LJ when the now-defunct Web comic "Purple Pussy" used its LJ account as a comments board. Since I had started a blog the previous year at another site, I decided to delete that one and open a new blog on LJ (I was recovering from an auto accident at the time.) "Purple Pussy" wound up ending its run a month or two after I joined.
