Since I had worked for three hours or so at the Radio Shopping Show before being rejected, my co-worker said he'd make sure I got compensated for the work.  I would have prefered an actual paycheck.  Instead, I was given three gift certificates: two for local restaurants and one for a bowling alley.  Since my dad is having knee surgery this week, I might not be able to have Friday dinner at his house.  I could use one of the certificates then.  I might use the bowling certificate on my birthday.

Speaking of no paycheck, KRCC's time card system didn't have the current time card in the system.

I won't be continuing at the Radio Shopping Show.  My co-worker just called to say the boss will use someone from one of the other stations he runs instead.  I'm disappointed that I was rejected, but at least I can continue with activities like Toastmasters during the day.

I would like to find something permanent in the next month or two.  I'd like to go to Furry Fiesta this year since a few furry musicians I like are scheduled to appear, and others have expressed interest in joining them on stage.  The con moved to a new hotel last year.

Saturday night's furry bowling meet was excellent.  I did about the same as last time, bowling a 116 and 122 (no "turkeys" this time!)  I actually stayed after the meet to participate in Cosmic Bowling.

I was on a team with different furs than the last meet.  I mainly did this to avoid being on a team with a particular fur who kept wandering off and holding up the games.  Unfortunately, the alley switched to a tournament-style of play, with players alternating lanes every frame, and the aforementioned fur was on the other lane's team.

My co-worker will let me know sometime this week when my training at Radio Shopping Show will continue.  I listened to the show to hear how it sounds on the radio.  The people in the studio can hear customers as they call in, though the callers' voices are not immediately put on the air to avoid broadcasting their personal information.  It is a bit odd hearing just the host's side of the conversation on the radio, with background music replacing the other side for several seconds.

My second day of training at the Radio Shopping Show went much better.  My co-worker will let me know when I'll be needed next week when I see him on Sunday.  I need to remember to have a bit more caffeine in me since the pitching needs to be high-energy.

The Toastmasters officers meeting was postponed until next Wednesday due to the snow.

I got to sit in on my new weekday job (the Radio Shopping Show) for an hour to see how it worked.  I was a bit nervous when speaking on the air, but I was told I handled it very well.  I took some notes on how the board is operated since it's a slightly different setup than the KRCC board.  I'll go in for another hour tomorrow at noon.

I don't know if I'll have a set schedule once I officially begin work.  Since RSS is a midday show (11 AM-3 PM,) the only activity it might conflict with would be Toastmasters on Fridays.
