Whenever I'm mad or anxious, I'm glad my body doesn't puff up the way some animals' bodies do. I would have definitely been puffy earlier tonight. The meeting room my group was in is also a children's playroom, so they were occasional children in the room.

Last night's singles meetup was great. The restaurant has a wall of self-service taps for its variety of beers, ciders and other drinks. The cherry cider I had was fantastic, but a mule I tried tasted like carbonated floor wax. I ordered a plate of fries topped with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, sour cream and red chili. Usually I can handle spicy foods, but the red chili was SUPER spicy.

Yesterday's eye exam went well. My long-distance vision is a little better than last time, so my current glasses are actually too strong. I ordered a new pair with my updated prescription and should have them in a week or two.

I've been imagining owning a classic hits station and calling it "The Wolf." I pictured making funny TV commercials with CGI-animated wolves.

I wanted to try Arby's new Wagyu burger for lunch on Sunday, but the location closest to me was sold out.

I got a calzone, garlic cheese bread and tiramisu for dinner Sunday from a local pizza place a few blocks from my home. When I got back home, there were two deer in the courtyard near my front door.

Boca Britany Somers announced that her talk show on WWNN-AM would be ending, but it would continue online. Mark Paskin re-sold WWNN and its two FM translators to another company which is changing the format after the July 4th weekend from brokered talk to oldies. Somers said she was offered a music show under the new format.

I needed to pick up a few art supplies late last night. I had about 90 minutes between that task and seeing "The Bad Guys," so I had dinner at a bar next door to the theater. I got some pumpkin risotto and two lemon drop martinis, then a Mexican chocolate martini for dessert.

The previews had two animated movies which look interesting. "The D.C. League of Superpets" is about the pets belonging to the D.C. superheroes. Another movie called "Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank" is basically a samurai dog movie with the voices of Michael Cera, George Takei and Samuel L. Jackson. Both movies come out in July.

I was the only person in the theater for "The Bad Guys" (It was a 10 PM showing.) I liked the spoofing of heist movies, as well as the storylines involving bad guys being good and vice versa. Not to spoil too much, but it's also bookended by a pair of fart jokes. I definitely recommend this movie.

During dinner yesterday, I saw an older "Rhymes With Orange" comic strip featuring cows. One of the cows was holding a pitcher of milk and a plate of cookies. One of the other cows looks at her and says "Are you trying to one-up us?" This comic reminded me of one of the "zingers" Paul Lynde made on Hollywood Squares:

Peter Marshall: What are "dual purpose" cattle good for that other cattle aren't?
Paul Lynde: They give milk and cookies...but I don't recommend the cookies!

I was planning to go to a furry party tonight, but I don't really feel like going out. I'll listen to BigBlueFox's stream and take part in Steelwoulfe's game night instead.

I had exactly 2 cups of flour left last night, so I could make the full recipe of lemon tea cookies. They turned out great!

The Doggy Radio discussion two weeks ago about animals becoming more human-like reminded me of a classic cartoon. When it was suggested that animals might use porn, I remembered one of the Charlie Brown specials showed Snoopy reading "Playdog" magazine. I found it was 1975's "You're a Good Sport, Charlie Brown."

I forgot this afternoon's Toastmasters meeting was also the monthly potluck meeting. I wasn't sure if it was my turn to bring the main dish or another member's. I brought a "party sub," and another member brought a couple of pizzas. Others brought chicken wings, soda and desserts. No one brought cups, napkins or utensils, so I made a note to bring some next time just in case. I'll be sure to get a travel pack of wet-naps since the chicken wings can get a bit messy.

I'll be seeing the Psychedelegates in about an hour in Manitou Springs, and FoxTrot is tomorrow night! This time, I'll be sure to arrive at FoxTrot around 7:45 for dinner. Speaking of foxes, the credit union branch I went to yesterday had a large stand-up display of the Carfax "Car Fox." I wanted to take a picture of it, but I wasn't sure if that was permitted inside the credit union.

Man Filmed Stuffing Python Down His Pants In Brazen Pet Shop Theft
There was a snake in his pants, but no one was happy to see him.
A ballsy shoplifter stuffed a two-foot python down his pants during a pet store theft caught on video, the Oregon store's outraged owner said.
"He's lucky it wasn't feeding day," Christin Bjugan, who owns Portland's A to Z pet store, where Friday's crime was committed, told KPTV. "Feeding days are on Mondays. And they're very hungry."

A mouse riding a fox! (I uploaded a better version of it since my crappy cell phone photo was dark and blurry.)

Someone at KRCC dubbed the mouse "Paul Revere"!

A while back, some squirrels managed to find their way into the KRCC building. A few serious notices were posted on the studio door, followed by a bunch of silly ones:

A new Kohl's store in town is hiring for several positions. I'll be attending a job fair this week to apply for a position.

Probably a bear. I know a dog might seem like a better answer with my username, but like a bear I'm big, I like to sleep a lot in the winter and I like to give big bear hugs!
